This year too, APIMR celebrated Ganesh Utsav for five days during 25th to 29th August 2017. The Ganesh idol was installed at the hands of Hon. Shri. Akshay Adhalrao Patil (Secretary of APIMR), followed by the Ganesh Poojan alongwith the praise of lord Ganesha.

The students of APIMR always celebrate the festival in a unique way. The decoration and Rangoli was carried out by the students. This year's theme for the celebration was "A Social Media- Boon or Bane". Several placards and drawings were made by the students showing the pros and cons of the use of the social media.

On Tuesday, 29 August 2017, immersion ceremony was performed. The procession (Visarjan Miravnook) was started at around 11.00 o'clock in the morning with great enthusiasm followed by the dance program while enchanting "Ganpati Bappa Moraya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Yaa"
